In fact, besides the prosperity of business, you will also find the natural beauty along the Silk Road from the TianchiLake in Urumqi to the Flame Mountain in Turpan, from the Jiangyuguan Pass to the Qinghai Lake in Xining, which with an overwhelming view and spirit inside are totally different from the pretty southern natural sites.

Daily Itinerary :

Day 01 Home- -Beijing
Transfer via: TBA, on your own arrangement.
Arrive in Beijing. Be met & transferred to your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Day 02 Beijingi - - Urumqi (B/L)
Take half a day city tour includes visits of the Tian'anmen Square - the biggest public square in the world and Forbidden City(GuGong in Chinese) which is used to be the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, now known as the Palace Museum. Then take an evening flight to Urumqi. Arrive in Urumqi. Be met & transferred to your hotel.

Day 03 Urumqi (B/L)
After breakfast, enjoy an excursion to Tianchi Lake by boat, nestled in the Tianshan Mountain range. Return to Urumqi after lunch and take a city tour, which gives you a glimpse of the major sights of this northwestern city. Populated by Han people and thirteen ethnic minorities, Urumqi is quite different from the usual Chinese street scene. Here you can see Nomadic Khazakhs, a Middle Eastern bazaar, a jade-carving center and more.

Day 04 Urumqi - bus -Turpan (B/L)
Visit the Xinjiang Museum. Then drive to Turpan, an oasis amid the desert, and renown for its grapes and cantaloupe. Visit the amazing 2,000 year old Karez System of Irrigration, which brought water from melting snow on the mountains to this parched city.

Day 05 Turpan - train - Dunhuang (B/L)
Take a sightseeing of Gaochang, the ancient walled capital of the Uighurs which flourished between the 7th century and 14th century, and the ruins of Jiaohe City, where plenty of large fragments of actual streets and buildings remain. An afternoon tour to the Flaming Mountains, named for their vibrant color. Take an overnight soft-sleep train to Dunhuang.

Day 06 Dunhuang (B/L)
Arrive in Dunhuang in the morning. Dunhuang, one of the most historic destinations along China's Silk Road, is also a huge center of Buddhist art. Other attractions include the ruins of Yangguan Pass, the Yumen Guan Pass and the White Horse Pagoda.

Day 07 Dunhuang (B/L)
Take an excursion to the Mogao Grottoes, the world's richest treasure trove of Buddhist manuscripts and art. Begun in 386AD and added to over the next 9 centuries, the grottoes are totally over 45,000 square meters and boast over 2,000 murals and sculptures.Continue to the Mingsha Sand Dunes and take a camel ride to the Crescent Moon Lake.

Day 08 Dunhuang - train - Jiayuguan - train - Lanzhou (B)
Take a morning train from Dunhuang to Jiayuguan Pass, the western end of the Great Wall and vital stronghold of military defense for ancient China. Visit Jiayuguan Gate Tower. Take an overnight soft-sleep train to Lanzhou.

Day 09 Lanzhou (B/L)
Arrive in Lanzhou, the "City of Fruit." You will visit the Grottoes around the Bingling Temple and have a short boat cruise in the Liujiaxia Reservoir.

Day 10 Lanzhou - train - Xining (B/L)
Take a morning train to Xining, the capital of Qinghai Province. Arrive in Xining. Be met & transferred to your hotel. Xining has been a central China's gateway to Tibet since the ancient times. It is also the area from which the Yangtze and the Yellow Rivers originate. In the afternoon, you will see those majestic temples and golden altars and marvel at the jeweled pagodas of a mosque in the Kumbum Monastery (Ta'er si in Chinese).

Day 11 Xining (B/L)
You will enjoy a breath-taking beauty of the Qinghai Lake today. With12, 000 feet above the sea level, it is China's largest salt lake. You will never forget the turquoise blue water, the jade-green pastures and the cleanest azure sky.

Day 12 Xining -- Xi'an (B/L)
Take a morning flight to Xi’an. Arrive in Xi'an.Be met & transferred to your hotel. Have a half day city visit of the Provincial Museum, the Ancient City Wall and the Bell Tower.

Day 13 Xi'an (B/L)
You will have a whole day visit to the famous historical site of the Qin Terracotta Warriors. More than 6000 life -sized terracotta figures of soldiers and horses in perfect battle array show the superb sculptural art of that time. Afterwards, visit the Wild Goose Pagoda.

Day 14 Xi'an - bus - Mt.Huashan (B/L)
Drive to Mt. Huashan by bus, one of the five holy mountains in China. Take a cable car up to the top of this majestic mountain for a breath-taking view of its five peaks and the Yellow River. Come back to Xi’an in the afternoon.

Day 15 Xi'an - - Shanghai (B/L)
Take a morning flight to Shanghai. Be met & transferred to your hotel. Visit the famous Jade Buddha Temple with a 2m high sitting white Jade Buddha and the 400-year old Yu Yuan Garden, decorated with masterpieces of Ming architecture, as well as the Old Town & the Bund.

Day 16 Shanghai -- Home (B)
Free at leisure until to be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
