The Nationial park of China covers a total area of 60.04m2 Starting from Songmuchang in the east of the city, the scenic area stretches southward along the North Shaoniangong square, Baisha Rd, West Huancheng Rd, Hubin Rd, Nanshan Rd, the south of Wansongling and all the scenic areas of Wu Hill, Ziyang Hill and Yunju Hill; starting from the south, it stretches westward from the Gulou along the eastern boundaries of Wu Hill, Ziyang Hill and Yunju Hill, then via the Fengshanmen, go along the Fenghuang Hill and the diversion canal of the lake in Tianhuashan till it reaches the north embankment of Qiantang River, where it again stretches toward the north of Liufangling through Shanhusha reservoir; starting from the Liufangling in the West, the area stretches along Liufangling, Zhugan Hill, Jiuquling, Mingrenling, Meirenfeng, Beigaofeng, Lingfeng Hill to the east of the Laohe Hill, starting from the Laohe Hill in the north (the west wall of Zhejiang University), the area boundary heads eastward along the 30-meter north part of the Qingzhiwu Rd, then via the Yugu Road, Zheda Road, Shuguang Road to the South of Songmuchang. The outer reverse covers an area of 35.64m2 starting from the Nanxing bridge in the east, along the Jiangbin park, Jiangcheng Road, Fengshan bridge, South Zhongshan Road, Gulou, via Hefang street, South Yan¡¯an Road, Qingchun Road, Wulin Road, Jiaochang Road to the area west to the West Huancheng; starting from the main channel of Qiantang River in the South, along Hangfu road to the areas north to the river bank; occupying the areas east to the Liuzhuanlu in the west, and starting from Liuxia in the north, along Hanghui road, Tianmushan road to the areas south to the Wulinmen. Centering on the West Lake, the West Lake Scenic area comprises 60 national, provincial and city reserves and over 100 scenery spots, among which, the most famous ones are 10 views of the Last West and 10 neo-views of the West Lake.

In December 1993, the scenery area was evaluated as one of the six Qualified Environmental Scenery Areas in China£¬and later in May 2005, it was granted the honor of Excellent Membership Unit by the Committee of Scenery Area of China.
