Detailed Itinerary: Shanghai Expo Standard Day Single Day Admission Ticket:
World Expo 2010 in Shanghai, China is a grand drawing together of international
fairs and expositions. The theme of the Expo is "Better City, Better Life",
which reflects Shanghai's leading status as a economic and cultural city in the
Twenty-first Century. The expo is expected to attract the largest number of
participants and visitors in the history of international expositions. The
Shanghai 2010 Expo's emblem, depicting the image of three people holding hands
together. Tips: Standard day ticket holders can enter the Expo area once on any
day except for peak days.(from May 1 to Oct 31, 2010, excluding May 1 to 3,
October 1 to 7 and October 25 to 31).
Expo Area Pickup and Transfer to Expo
site: After being transferred from the hotel to Expo area or vice versa by
independent car/van and guide and on arrival at the Expo area, a public Expo bus
is available to take guests inside the Expo area. The bus costs RMB
30.

Center, The Bund, Yuyuan Garden, Jiangnan Silk Museum

- Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall (1
hour): A short walk across Renmin Square from the Shanghai Museum, this
is a fascinating insight into Shanghai's future. The 2nd floor has a giant
walkaround model of the city, and other floors have great displays, interactive
exhibitions and walkthroughs of aspects such as the ports, greening, leisure
etc.
- The Shanghai World Financial Center
(40 minutes): The Shanghai World Financial Center is a super tall
skyscraper. It is a mixed use skyscraper, which will consist of offices, hotels,

shopping malls on the lower floors. The
hotel component has 175 rooms and suites and goes by the name: The Park Hyatt,
Shanghai. On September 14, 2007, the skyscraper reached 492.3 meters (1,615.2
ft) and became the tallest structure on mainland China, including Hong Kong, as
well as the world's third tallest building (including unfinished ones), after
the Burj Dubai and Taipei 101.
- The Bund (40
minutes): Once the home of the foreign traders and major banks, the
embankment has taken on a new vitality; lovely old European-style buildings mix
with futuristic developments, chic restaurants, top end shops and bars offer
plenty to see and do – and by night it's magic!
- Yuyuan Garden (1 hour): Located at a very busy
marketplace in a complex of traditional-style buildings, backing onto Yu
Gardens, you can find everything there from popular local snacks and food,
crafts, antiques and souvenirs to Starbucks, teahouses and some great
restaurants. There is a small (reconstructed) Temple (Chenghuang: Temple of the
City Gods) in there as well.
- Seagull
Place: Seagull Palace is located along the Huangpu River. The main
building is in shape of a huge seagull, and is one of the signature buildings in
Shanghai. It serves a Shanghai-Style food and is decorated in a western
style.
- Jiangnan Silk Museum: See how
silk is produced from the cocoons of silk worms, and turned into the beautiful
fabric we all know and love. Silk filled duvets are excellent value, and the
showroom offers everything from small souvenirs to larger items. The beauty of
real silk is that it's so light, and packs really easily.

- Jade Buddha Temple (40 minutes): An
active Buddhist temple, and one of the richest in Shanghai. The main treasures
are two statues of Buddha, carved from rare single blocks of white jade adorned
with precious stones. The temple is a hive of activity with monks, worshippers
and visitors, and photos of the Buddhas are forbidden.
- Children Palace (1 hour): Children’s Palaces
provide tuition in extracurricular activities such as music, dance, art, model
making, science, technology and computer science. Visitors are welcome to watch
classes, rehearsals or performances, depending on the day’s timetable.
- Creek Kitchen: The restaurant is located
near the Jade Buddha Temple. It serves a homemade style food based on Italian
cuisine. It is decorated in an ancient Chinese style with the original Qing
dynasty furniture and the patinas. The restaurant caters to a wide variety of
tastes.

- The Yellow Mountains (6 hours):
Located in the south of Anhui Province, with an area of about 1,200 square
kilometers, known as "the loveliest mountain in China",famous for magnificent
scenery whatever the season: granite peaks piercing the clouds, strangely shaped
rocks and gnarled trees, hot springs, waterfalls, wonderful outlooks and over
1500 plant species. No traffic within the core area of about 150 square
kilometres, accessible by cable car or on foot. Many enticing walks of all
grades, all include some steps. |

- Yungu Cable
Car (10 minutes): You can enjoy the scenery along the way to the yellow
mountain by cable car.
- huangshan
museum: Huangshan museum is the biggest comprehensive exhibition in
Huangshan. It showcases products of all types including ink stone, Hui-style
ink, paintings, Hui-style carvings, ancient books, old porcelain. It has become
a popular spot for foreign tourists looking for authentic, quality Hui-style
products.
